Sadler House Farm sits peacefully among sheep fields between the old and new steam railway lines from Whitby to Pickering, only a mile from the renowned moorland village of Goathland. You will be delighted by the awe inspiring steam locomotives that pass each hour, which treat excited passengers to the sights and sounds of the rolling Moor and the delightful towns of Whitby and Pickering, as well as the moorland villages of Levisham, Goathland and Grosmont.
Savour the delights of Whitby, a fascinating seaside town with picturesque working harbour and long, sandy beach walks, as well as the charming market town of Pickering, with its fabulous station, the Beck Isle Museum and rare 15th century wall paintings in St Peter's and St Paul's Church.

Secluded without being remote from civilization, the farm is only 20 minutes by car from Whitby or Pickering, 25 minutes from Robin Hood's Bay and 50 minutes to all that York has to offer in the way of beautiful streets and buildings, including The Shambles and York Minster, world class museums, city wall and riverside walks - and plenty of individual and interesting shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants.

The delightful village of Goathland, made famous by 'Heartbeat' and the Harry Potter films, is only an easy mile's walk along the bridleway created from the old railway line first laid down by George Stephenson in 1835. With its extensive views of the moors, pretty old cottages and enticing pubs and tea shops, this is one of the most popular moorland villages - and do watch out for the free range sheep!
